Yvette Hoitink , des Pays Bas est déjà intervenu sur ce forum. Elle a étudié les actes notariés concernant des habitants de Steenwerck et environs qui se sont exilés en Zelande. Sur son site:

on trouve un François SOHIER fils de François qui serait né à Steenwerck vers 1620.

Malgré les lacunes dans les actes de l'époque, je recherche la naissance de François SOHIER fils de François ou toute naissance d'un enfant de père François SOHIER

Thanks to to great studies of + Mr Francis Devos, we have some interestings hints regarding this early genealogy. Mr Devos wrote a book somes years ago, and you will get all the details from http://huguenots.picards.free.fr/lalloeu.php
Unfortunately Mr Devos passed away some years ago. I was told by his brother : Mr Jean Devos, that I will met early April for a ceremony in memory of Francis Devos, that a book was just published in the States, co-written by Mr Francis Devos & Dr Alfred H Marks. I have not yet ordered this book, but it should be interesting for your study ... It's titled

Please also note that I found in Cambresis (Eastern from Flanders) some "Soyez" that requested their name to be spelled "Sohier"

I also found in Berlin archives, some evidences regarding my own Sohier branch, that fled towards the Carribeans (Saint-Domingue)

Unfortunately, these researches should wait until I retire
