Yvette Hoitink , des Pays Bas est déjà intervenu sur ce forum. Elle a étudié les actes notariés concernant des habitants de Steenwerck et environs qui se sont exilés en Zelande. Sur son site:

on trouve un François SOHIER fils de François qui serait né à Steenwerck vers 1620.

Malgré les lacunes dans les actes de l'époque, je recherche la naissance de François SOHIER fils de François ou toute naissance d'un enfant de père François SOHIER

Are the documents for sale electronically please? I mean CD or online? Buying 50 is obvioulsy too much so is there a list of what is in each please? Is the list online?

Sorry to be a dim wit but I am still not understanding completely about the original documents.

In the case of the marriage :

Le 20-09-1613 SOHIER François, fils de Passchier,bourgeois, marier à Erkengem avec AERNOUT Mayken, fille de Jacques, étranger , étranger veut dire non bourgeois d’Ypres.

I think I need another source reference because the BDY is not an original source? The marriage was in Erkengem [ Erquinghem ] at the church. Maybe the original church record has been lost? But there was a copy at Ypres? What is the date of the BDY that includes this please? Is it 1613 to ? say 1615? Or was the BDY compiled in this century? What I mean is that - is there another source to quote behind the BDY - I mean if I go to Yper and want to see the original 17th century record what is the reference I need to quote please? like : BDY 1613 xxxx ? vol 9 page 68.

Sorry not to understand. I just need to show the exact source reference to back up the information.
