Hello,

my ancestor Alexandre EROUART/EROHART from Pont-à-Vendin (born ca. 1718) married Marie Anne Elisabeth Delphine MOREL/MORELLE on June 6, 1748 in Warlencourt-Eaucourt. The couple lived in Bapaume, where their son Jean Francois Toussaint EROUART was born on May 8, 1749. Does anyone have knowledge of other children of the couple? I'm also still looking for the dates and places of death for Alexandre EROUART/EROHART and Marie Anne Elisabeth Delphine MOREL/MORELLE.

Any help appreciated. Thank you!

For the moment I only found the date and place of death of Marie Anne Élisabeth Delphine MOREL.
She died on the 06.02.1812 in Le Sars :

Il décède le 24 septembre 1793 à Warlencourt-Eaucourt.

Marie Anne Elisabeth Delphine MOREL, veuve de Charles LEVENEUR est la fille de Louis & Anne Marguerite LIEVIN.
Elle décède le 06 février 1812 à Warlencourt-Eaucourt.


On peut mettre 5 enfants à l'actif de ce couple.

I found three children so far in Bapaume:

- Jean Francois Toussaint EROUART 1749 (my great-great-great-great-grandfather)
- Louis Joseph EROUART 1751
- Pierre Joseph EROUART 1753

I'm still searching the Bapaume book for other children (I'm up to 1755 now, a lot to read).

et est devenu commune à cette date.

Thank you very much. I already had the dates about Jean-Francois-Toussaint EROUARD, but the older dates are very interesting.

Antoine Joseph François Cyprien EROUART/EROUARD married at the age of 17 in Bavay a 15 year old girl, Marie Marguerite SAUVAGE. After Napoleon took the German Rhineland he came as a douane lieutenant to Germany. There he married a second time (in 1801) one Sybilla HENN although he was still married in Bavay. He had several children, one of his sons was my great-great-grandfather. When Napoleon was defeated, Antoine Joseph François Cyprien EROUART/EROUARD left Germany and went back to his other wife. They had at least two other children. His German family never heard again of him after he left ca. 1815 as was stated in the marriage certificates of his German children. I assume that his German family didn't know of his French family and vice versa. So he was a bigamist. Interesting, isn't it?

Antoine Joseph François Cyprien EROUART died 17 March 1867 in Bavay. His French wife Marie Marguerite SAUVAGE died 20 December 1863 in Bavay. I have a lot of data about his German family.

I have difficulties to read that. Which line is the name Marie Anne Élisabeth Delphine MOREL? I can't see it. Is her age given in that certificate? Sorry for my dumb questions, never learned French, alas.

I am not at all familiar with all kinds of contracts, wedding or other contracts,signed with a notary......
I think that the ones you would like to know about,are only searchable to the " Archives Departementales 59 " (AD 59,because Camphin is in the "Nord Department" ) ,that means you would have to go to Lille in order to consult these contracts.
Only few of these contracts are available on line and,as I told you,I don't know much about them.

But maybe someone on the forum will be able to help you,cross fingers....
